01 / Why Bring Fermentation Back?
A Gut-Friendly Habit Can Start in Your Kitchen.
You do not need to be a fermentation enthusiast to care about your gut health. Fermented foods offer a practical way to bring more variety into your diet, starting with everyday meals rather than another complicated routine.
Fermentation transforms familiar ingredients through microbial activity. Some fermented foods contain live cultures when eaten; fermented vegetables and whole soybeans also bring fiber from their ingredients. Different foods contribute different qualities to a varied diet.
Research links diets rich in fermented foods with greater gut microbial diversity. Benefits depend on the food and the person; not every fermented food is a proven probiotic. The opportunity is to make these foods a regular part of how you eat.
A spoonful of yogurt at breakfast. Sauerkraut with lunch. Tempeh at dinner. This is why we bring fermentation back home: to make a gut-friendly food habit easier to build and keep.
02 / The Challenge Behind the Habit
Different Ferments. Different Cultures. Different Temperatures.
The conditions that suit kombucha are not the same as those that suit yogurt, natto or tempeh. Each culture has a suitable temperature range. A single warm corner cannot reliably provide every recipe with the environment it needs.
Steady, recipe-appropriate temperature → supports the intended cultures becoming established → more predictable fermentation. It helps the microbial activity that develops the acidity, flavor and texture of your food.
Temperature swings outside that range → stressed or slowed cultures → less predictable results and more opportunity for unwanted microbes. A chilly night or hot afternoon can change the course of a batch.
That is the practical challenge: making fermented foods regularly means managing different environments. Temperature control works alongside proper preparation, hygiene and recipe checks; it does not guarantee food safety on its own.
03 / One Chamber for Your Fermentation Routine
One Chamber. The Right Setting for Your Next Ferment.
Yogurt today. Natto next. Kombucha after that. FermentPro gives different fermentation projects one dedicated space, with a temperature and timer you can change to suit the recipe.
Heating and cooling from 50–115°F (10–45°C). Choose a preset or set the chamber temperature and time yourself. Instead of finding a new warm spot for every food, choose the environment your culture needs.
When the timed cycle ends, automatic post-ferment cooling helps slow continued fermentation. Your own suitable containers, your ingredients and one machine support a routine you can repeat.
One chamber serves many recipes across separate cycles. It runs at one temperature at a time. Follow each recipe for preparation, airflow, completion and refrigeration.

Meet the Founder
A Scientist. A Mother. A Reason to Bring Fermentation Home.
Dr. Wanping Hu, MD, PhD is a medical oncologist of more than 20 years, a PhD-trained microbiologist and immunologist, and a mother of three.
While exploring fermented foods for her family, she kept meeting the same practical challenge: different cultures needed different temperatures.
She created FermentPro to bring those different fermentation environments into one machine and make homemade fermented foods easier to include in everyday life.
Automatic Post-Ferment Cooling
What If Your Ferment Finishes Before Your Day Does?
Start any time. Let the timed cycle handle the switch. When fermentation ends, FermentPro automatically moves to cooling to help slow continued fermentation.
An overnight yogurt batch. A compatible 36-hour slow ferment. Natto or tempeh timed around a busy day. You can plan the cycle without having to manually turn down the chamber temperature the moment it ends.
More flexibility around the finish. Cooling helps slow the process; it does not stop it instantly or replace refrigerator storage. Follow your recipe for completion, chilling and storage.
The Benefits of Homemade
Make Gut-Friendly Eating a Homemade Habit.
Choose what goes in. Select your milk, tea, beans or vegetables. Build a plain base and add flavors your household loves, following the requirements of your recipe.
Make one batch your own. Yogurt with berries, ginger kombucha, savory natto, golden tempeh or tangy kraut: turn everyday ingredients into foods you look forward to eating.
Buy ingredients instead of another finished pack. Reuse suitable containers and build a routine around the foods you already enjoy. The Recipe Book examples below show how lower ingredient costs can add up.
Homemade Savings
Small Batches. Savings That Add Up.
Compare the same serving size using estimates from the FermentPro Recipe Book.
| Food and portion | Store-bought | Homemade ingredients |
|---|---|---|
| Yogurt / cup | $1.06 | $0.35 |
| Kombucha / 8 oz | $1.88 | $0.21 |
| Natto / 50g | $0.90 | $0.24 |
| Tempeh / lb | $9.60 | $2.40 |
| Sauerkraut / lb | $6.99 | $1.60 |
Example annual savings: yogurt $259.15 at one cup daily; kombucha $609.55 at one 8 oz glass daily; natto $102.96 at three 50g servings weekly; tempeh $374.40 at one pound weekly; sauerkraut $140.14 at one pound every two weeks.
These are separate usage examples, not a combined savings promise. Prices and yields vary. Homemade figures cover ingredients and exclude equipment, electricity, supplies and time.

More Than Yogurt
I used to have a separate appliance just for making yogurt, but now I don’t need it anymore - the FermentPro handles yogurt perfectly along with so many other ferments.
